Teachers are the Cornerstone of Nation Building : Brajesh Pathak

Deputy CM shares his views at the Teachers Federation of India's annual convention

State government is fully committed to the respect and welfare of teachers

Lucknow | October 05 : State Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated that teachers do not merely impart education to students; rather, they play a pivotal role in nation-building by shaping the personality, character, and future of the new generation. Teachers are the true architects of society, and the state government is working with utmost sensitivity to ensure their respect and safeguard their interests.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak addressed the annual convention of the Teachers Federation of India in Lucknow. Welcoming teachers who had arrived from various states across the country, he extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the annual convention. He remarked that the foundation of any nation's progress lies in its education system, and teachers constitute the strongest link within that system. Teachers do not just impart curriculum-based knowledge; they prepare children for life's challenges and instill in them values, discipline, a sense of responsibility, and a sense of duty towards the nation. Therefore, respecting teachers and protecting their interests remain among the government's top priorities.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, "Teachers are the architects of the future. You prepare children for their lives ahead. On behalf of the government, I assure you that we stand by you in every circumstance." He added that the government is continuously striving to resolve teachers' issues and further improve the education system.

*Uttar Pradesh Advancing on the Path of Progress*

Deputy Chief Minister stated that the 'New Uttar Pradesh' of today is rapidly advancing on a new path of development. The state now boasts the largest network of expressways in the country, and various development projects are underway across all 75 districts. Uttar Pradesh is playing a crucial role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). The investment climate in the state has strengthened, attracting investors from across the globe to Uttar Pradesh.

 *Crime Was Once Rampant*

He stated that the law-and-order situation in the state during the tenures of previous governments is no secret. There was a time when the mafia and crime held sway, whereas today, the rule of law is established in Uttar Pradesh. By adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and corruption, the government has strengthened the sense of security and trust among the common citizens. Deputy Chief Minister noted that there has been a significant expansion in the number of airports and air connectivity across the state. Comprehensive changes have also been implemented in the health and medical sectors; alongside the expansion of medical colleges, hospitals, and healthcare facilities, the quality of treatment in government hospitals has improved.

*We Seek Votes in the Name of Development*

He remarked that the Bharatiya Janata Party seeks public support based on development and public welfare initiatives, rather than on the lines of caste or religion. Good governance, development, and national interest form the foundation of the BJP's politics. He questioned the basis on which opposition parties are seeking votes from the public; those who had no tangible achievements to show for development during their tenures, what accomplishments are they presenting to the people today? Deputy Chief Minister stated that the people of the state are experiencing development, good governance, and a secure environment. The government is working with full commitment to establish Uttar Pradesh as a leading economy in the country and a strong pillar of a developed India.

On this occasion, dignitaries and teachers from various states were present, including Dr. Dinesh Chandra Sharma (National President, Teachers Federation of India), Narendra Kumar Verma (Provincial General Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Teachers Association), Ram Murti Thakur, Sanjay Singh, Gauhar Ahmed Bhat, Vipin Kumar Sharma, Shiv Shankar Pandey, Soren Bhattacharya, Ved Prakash Mishra, and Meghraj Bhati.
